Vegas Golfing Prospects Look Hot
It's always a good day to be a golfer in Las Vegas, with over 300 days of sun and over a hundred affordable courses to choose from. Temperatures range from 58 to 100 degrees allowing any player to enjoy the scenery of the area, and more importantly, great golfing opportunities.
For $120 to $295, a golfer can play at the Reflections Bay golf club, a Jack Nicklaus Signature Course rated in the "Top 100 Best Courses You Can Play" by Golf Digest. Since 1998, this 7,261-yard course has amazed players with its scenery, centered around a 320-acre lake.
Golfers can expect to pay up to $250 to experience Brian Curley and Lee Schmidt's Bali Hai Golf Club. Its lush scenery stuns and creates a sense of luxury, and with 7,002 yards from the championship tees, this par-71 course will reward its golfers in kind.
For players with intermediate skill, the Painted Desert Golf Club, designed by Jay Morrish and opened in 1987, may be more attractive. Fees range from $69 to $149 for this 6,781-yard scenic desert course, with elevated tees and a forgiving course. The Painted Desert Golf Club was one of the first golf clubs to open in Las Vegas and remains a favorite with most golfers.
Dye Designs International brings to Las Vegas the Desert Pines Golf Club, a course shaded by pine trees and featuring water on half of its holes. With green fees from $35 to $160, even the most price-conscious golfer can enjoy these 6,810 yard course.
On the cheaper side you have the Black Mountain Golf and Country Club. Greens fees range from $55 to $95 for this Bob Baldock and Gill and Associates designed course. This USGA Links qualifying site offers 27 holes of golf with varying difficulty for all golfers. The course has tree lines fairways and tree framed tee boxes on every inch of the golf course. As the trees add much difficulty to play, they also offer much needed shade during the summer months of the year. At 6,550 yards, the Black Mountain Golf and Country Club seems quite easy when looking at the score card, but the tree presence, small old-fashioned greens, and thick Bermuda rough makes for a challenging day.
Finally comes the self-proclaimed most comprehensive golf experience in the world. Arnold Palmer's Angel Park Golf Club is viewed by manyas the best golf course in Las Vegas. Since 1989, they've offered 36 holes, nine of which are lighted, and natural grass, all for $65 to $160.
There is a golf course for every golfer, for every degree of difficulty and every price range. Las Vegas has it all and provides great whether to enjoy these beautiful golf courses year round. Each golf course would not disappoint and could easily qualify as "one of the best golf destinations in Las Vegas".
